Please come and see for yourself.

I once thought serving others meant decreasing my own happiness but how happy can I be if someone else is suffering

Now I see how natural it is to give to another person

A picture's worth a thousand words

So Many Ways to Help Others!
Our "mobile meals" program distributes hot, vegetarian dinners to homeless people on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.  But this is a multi-level project.  First, we're actually feeding people.
Secondly, and perhaps equally important, we are offering opportunities for young people to help with the food distribution.  The person who does the work is also uplifted.   We're working under the premise that a youth ministry exclusively focused on recreational activities might unintentionally foster a "gimme" mentality in kids: "Now what do I get ?".  We've noticed that the concept :  "What service can I do now ? " may sometimes  be completely missing from
kids' vocabularies.

To facilitate the emergence of a higher nature we try to gently shift into " What can I do to help others come into the Light of God's Love?"  We believe serving God is natural.
